Sudan: Military Intelligence detains White Nile State bar association leader in Rabak; CFJ demands his release

On July 4, 2024, Sudanese Military Intelligence arrested Adam Ahmed Al-Dagnawi, head of the White Nile State Bar Association branch in Rabak.
The military intelligence had detained several lawyers in the days leading up to Al-Dagnawi’s arrest without providing reasons.

– Concerns Over Al-Dagnawi’s Health:
Close associates of Al-Dagnawi confirmed that he was taken to an undisclosed location, and requests by several lawyers to visit him were denied. There are growing concerns about his health due to his advanced age.
The Committee for Justice (CFJ) holds the Sudanese military responsible for the safety and well-being of Al-Dagnawi and demands immediate clarification of his whereabouts and his unconditional release.
