Egypt Task Force

Egypt Task Force is a coalition of independent Egyptian human rights organizations, some of which operate within Egypt while others work from abroad.

It was established in December 2018 to coordinate efforts to provide a comprehensive report on the state of human rights in Egypt to the United Nations Universal Periodic Review mechanism.

Several organizations participated in preparing the mid-term report, including the Cairo Institute for Human Rights Studies, the Egyptian Front for Human Rights, Committee for Justice, the Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights, the Nadeem Center, the Egyptian Commission for Rights and Freedoms, and the Association for Freedom of Thought and Expression, as well as another human rights organization that preferred to stay anonymous.
