Reading Time: Less than 1 minute Minutes

The Committee for Justice (CFJ) has documented the death of Mujahid Abdo Mohamed Al‑Sharif, a resident of the city of Al‑Nuhud, inside Dagris Prison in the city of Nyala, South Darfur State, after approximately five months in detention by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).

According to information documented by CFJ, Mujahid Abdo was arrested in Al‑Nuhud around five months ago on allegations of collaborating with the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and affiliation with the dissolved National Congress Party, before being transferred to the city of Nyala.

The Committee for Justice calls for the disclosure of the circumstances surrounding the death of Mujahid Abdo, an investigation into the conditions of his detention and death, and guarantees for his family’s right to know the truth. CFJ further calls for accountability for any violations or negligence that may have contributed to his death while in custody.
