Press Release

The Committee for Justice (CFJ) has documented the assassination of aid workers from “Al-Rakeeb” village in the eastern region of Al-Jazira State, one of whom was a doctor, at the hands of the Rapid Support Forces militia. The victims are Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Shehata and Ahmed Al-Sadiq Ahmed.

On November 7, Rapid Support Forces militias stormed the village, attacking civilians, killing dozens, and looting properties in an attempt to forcibly displace all the villages east of Wad Rawah city.

CFJ calls for an immediate, transparent, and expedited investigation into these crimes, emphasizing the need to hold the perpetrators accountable and prevent their impunity. The committee also stresses the importance of international and local interventions to protect civilians and ensure justice is served.
