The Committee for Justice (CFJ) has reported that on February 13, 2025, forces affiliated with the Rapid Support Forces militia assassinated Dr. Issam Siddiq Al-Zubair, a relief activist, inside his home in the city of Al-Kalakla, Khartoum State.
The attack also resulted in the killing of two of Dr. Al-Zubair’s sons, Mohammed and Abu Bakr, adding to the tragedy and underscoring the brutality of the assault on the family.
Dr. Al-Zubair was a graduate of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Khartoum and a native of Tuti Island. He was widely recognized for his significant contributions to relief efforts.
CFJ strongly condemns this heinous incident and demands an urgent investigation into the circumstances surrounding the attack, emphasizing the need to identify those responsible and bring them to justice. CFJ also stresses the importance of preventing impunity and ensuring that all individuals involved in this brutal attack are held accountable to prevent the recurrence of such crimes in the future.
