The “Committee for Justice” (CFJ) has reported that forces affiliated with the Rapid Support Militia launched an attack on the home of Dr. Musa Shal’ai, the only remaining doctor in the locality of Al-Qutaynah, south of the capital Khartoum, and arrested him.
According to CFJ, this attack followed the closure of Al-Sufi Hospital by the “Rapid Support Forces,” which also led to the shutdown of Al-Qutaynah Teaching Hospital. This has further exacerbated citizens’ suffering and deprived them of access to essential healthcare services.
CFJ condemns the continued targeting of hospitals and medical personnel by the “Rapid Support Forces,” holds the militia responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of Dr. Shal’ai, and demands his immediate and unconditional release.
