Press Release

The Committee for Justice (CFJ) has monitored the assassination of engineer and relief activist Mohammed Al-Rasheed, who served as Head of Operations at the Dialysis Center in Al-Rafa’a Hospital, Gezira State, Sudan. Al-Rasheed was killed by forces linked to the “Rapid Support Forces” militia during an armed attack that these groups carried out on Al-Rafa’a.

This attack claimed more than Al-Rasheed’s life; it also resulted in the death of young man Saif Haseeb, adding his name to the growing list of victims who have paid with their lives amid the ongoing violent assaults targeting civilians and humanitarian aid workers.

CFJ condemns these crimes against civilians and demands that authorities open an immediate investigation into the incident, bring those responsible to justice, and ensure accountability to prevent impunity. CFJ also calls for measures to protect civilian lives from these recurring attacks.
