Less than 1 minute

Press Release

The Committee for Justice (CFJ) has monitored the assassination of lawyer, journalist, and human rights activist Hanan Adam and her brother, Youssef Adam, on December 9, 2024, in the village of Wad Al-Asha, located in South Gezira.

The committee stated that this incident is part of an ongoing wave of violence perpetrated by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), which has increasingly targeted residential areas and unarmed civilians, raising international and regional concerns.

CFJ strongly condemns this act and urges that the perpetrators be held accountable and prosecuted for their crimes. The committee underscores the necessity of addressing the prevailing culture of impunity.
