The “Committee for Justice” (CFJ) has reported that Sudanese radiologist and humanitarian activist Ihab Abd El-Wahab has been subjected to torture inside the detention centers of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Khartoum.
Abd El-Wahab had been providing medical services at “Al-Tamayoz” Hospital in Khartoum before he was arrested by the RSF and subjected to torture. During his detention, which lasted for more than two months, he was shot twice in his leg and suffered a heart attack, leaving his health in a critical and life-threatening condition.
CFJ condemns the RSF’s continued detention of Dr. Ihab Abdel Wahab, holds the militia fully responsible for his life, and demands his immediate release. The committee also calls on UN organizations to pressure the RSF to release all detained civilians and medical staff.
