The Committee for Justice (CFJ) has monitored the killing of a humanitarian activist and anesthesiologist, Dr. Awad Al-Karim Al-Khair Abdullah, in the village of Um Biaga near the city of Sinja in Sennar State, Sudan. The incident occurred on Friday, July 5th, perpetrated by forces affiliated with the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
Dr. Abdullah was killed at his home along with his brother and nephew during a raid by the RSF, who looted the residence and terrorized its inhabitants.
CFJ condemns the murder of Dr. Abdullah and demands accountability for those responsible, emphasizing the need to prevent impunity. CFJ also calls on all parties involved in the conflict in Sudan to cease attacks on civilians.
