Sudan: CFJ condemns the killing of aid worker Bashir Hammad in Sennar by RSF, calls for an investigation

The Committee for Justice (CFJ) has monitored that on September 28, 2024, militias from the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) kidnapped and executed citizen Bashir Mohammed Ahmed Hammad in the state of Sennar.

The incident occurred in the southern neighborhood of the city of Sennar, in Sennar state, on the western bank of the Blue Nile. Hammad was one of the prominent humanitarian supporters in the region.

CFJ strongly condemns the incident and calls for an urgent, impartial, and transparent investigation to uncover the details of the case, identify the individuals responsible for this crime, and ensure they do not escape punishment.
