The First (Terrorism) Circuit of the Cairo Criminal Court, convened at the Badr Court Complex, decided to adjourn the retrial of the accused, Abdel Salam Ali Hassan Abdallah, in the case popularly known as “Attempt to storm the Nasr City Police Station”, to the session of November 4th for the verdict. The decision was issued under the presidency of judge Mohamed El-Said El-Shorbagy and the membership of judges Essam Abul-Ela, Ghareeb Mohamed Metwally, Mahmoud Zidan, and Mohamed Nabil. The Public Prosecution had directed several crimes to the defendant and others – who were previously sentenced – including assembly and show of force, vandalism, destruction, and armed resistance against public authorities. It’s worth noting that the court had previously issued verdicts ranging from life imprisonment to rigorous imprisonment for the accused, and placed those convicted under police surveillance.
