The Second Terrorism Circuit of the State Security Criminal Court postponed the sessions of the case known as the “Freedom and Justice Party Committees,” registered under No. 381 of 2024, where 117 members of the Muslim Brotherhood are being tried. The trial was adjourned to February 10, 2025, to hear witness testimonies.

The Second Circuit of the First Instance Criminal Court, presided over by Judge Wagdy Abdel Moneim and assisted by Judges Abdel Jalil Moftah and Diaa Hamed Amer, issued the following rulings: - Defendant Mahmoud Abdullah Mahmoud Khalaf (No. 16): Sentenced to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment and ordered to pay 340,000 EGP in compensation for damages.
- Defendants Badi Abdel Aal Abdel Mohsen Ali (No. 48), Ali Awis Fathy Abdel Wahab (No. 58), and Abdel Jawad Rashad Abdel Jawad (No. 92): Sentenced to five years of rigorous imprisonment each and ordered to pay 340,000 EGP in compensation.
These rulings were part of the retrial in the case known publicly as “Storming Atfih Police Station,” initially tried in absentia, with some defendants previously receiving sentences of up to 15 years.
