Geneva – April 16, 2024

The Committee for Justice (CFJ) has called for the immediate release of aid activists Saif al-Dawla Jadid and Mohamed El-Hadi, known as “Hatab”, who were arrested by security forces linked to military intelligence in Singa, Sennar State.

This is not the first time Jadid and Hatab have been detained. They were previously released along with others about a month ago after a 3-month detention, only to be arrested again.

CFJ opposes the detention of Jadid and Hatab, citing their humanitarian work and efforts in monitoring human rights violations in the state. They demand their swift release, along with all arbitrarily detained individuals due to their human rights activities or political views.
