Call for Participation: Training on Monitoring and Documenting Human Rights Violations in Sudan

CFJ is inviting Sudanese human rights defender (HRD) committed to justice and accountability for participation in a 3-day Training on Monitoring and Documenting Human Rights Violations in Sudan, designed to equip HRDs with the skills, tools, and international methodologies needed to advocate effectively for human rights and accountability.

Training Details

Duration: 3 days

Location: Kampala, Uganda

Target Participants:

  • Sudanese HRDs, and civil society activists, who are actively working in monitoring and documenting human rights violations in Sudan or on Sudan-related issues.
  • Participants should have a basic knowledge of monitoring and documentation methods.

Training Objectives

Participants will:

  • Deepen their understanding of international human rights frameworks and mechanisms.
  • Gain practical skills in evidence collection, documentation, and data management.
  • Learn to engage effectively with UN mechanisms and submit comprehensive reports.
  • Join a collaborative network of HRDs for ongoing support and advocacy.

Highlights of the Training content:

  • Introduction to human rights principles, monitoring frameworks, and documentation standards.
  • Field monitoring, risk management, and reporting to UN mechanisms.
  • Practical exercises, international engagement, and sustainable advocacy strategies.
