The local human rights situation directly affects the international community’s awareness and communication with the relevant authorities in local communities. Therefore, the Committee for Justice (CFJ), through the AU Connect project, seeks to enhance communication with African human rights mechanisms to ensure they are informed about the current human rights situation, thereby directing their efforts to support victims. AU Connect aims to create an interactive environment that encourages sustainable cooperation between human rights defenders and African mechanisms, ensuring the promotion of fundamental rights and the achievement of justice across the continent.
