The Committee for Justice (CFJ) has documented the continued disappearance of brothers Ali Milad Al‑Qamati (53 years old) and Faraj Milad Al‑Qamati (46 years old), following their abduction from their home in the city of Zliten on 5 June 2026 by an armed group, according to information shared by their family members.
According to information documented by CFJ, armed men stormed the brothers’ home and took them to an unknown location. Since then, their family has remained unaware of their whereabouts or the authority responsible for their detention, despite submitting several complaints and reports to security and judicial authorities.
Available information indicates that the two brothers remain forcibly disappeared, in the absence of any official information regarding their legal status or place of detention, raising serious concerns about their safety and well‑being.
The Committee for Justice calls on the competent authorities to immediately disclose the fate and whereabouts of Ali and Faraj Al‑Qamati, ensure their protection, and allow them to communicate with their families and lawyers. CFJ also calls for their release unless they are charged in accordance with legal procedures that guarantee fair trial standards, and urges the opening of an investigation into their disappearance and accountability for those responsible.
