Sudan: CFJ reports the killing of activist in Al-Jazira State, Hussein Idris, at the Hands of the “RSF” and demands investigations

The Committee for Justice (CFJ) has monitored the killing of human rights activist, Hussein Idris, a youth from the Arkawit neighborhood in Wad Madani, the capital of Al-Jazira State. He passed away after being detained and searched by the Rapid Support Forces militia.

According to eyewitnesses, Hussein was subjected to harsh treatment, including being robbed during the stop, which led to his death.

CFJ condemns this incident and calls on the authorities to launch impartial, swift, and transparent investigations into the circumstances of the incident. CFJ stresses the need to identify those responsible and ensure they do not escape justice, emphasizing the importance of upholding the rule of law and human rights in the country.
