Sudan: The CFJ Condemns the Arrest and Forced Disappearance of Activist Rnosh Jad El-Rab by the RSF in “Om durman,” Calls for Clarifying Her Fate and Immediate Release

Less than 1 minute

The Committee for Justice (CFJ) has documented the arrest of civil activist Rnosh Jad El-Rab by the Rapid Support Forces militia in Al-Salha area, south of Omdurman, where she was accused of espionage against the Sudanese Armed Forces.

Local sources indicated that the activist was immediately transferred to the city of “Nyala” in South Darfur state, and is believed to currently be held in one of the militia’s facilities there, with no additional details disclosed regarding the nature of the charges against her or the conditions of her detention.

Sources confirmed that the arrest was carried out arbitrarily, without any judicial warrant or clear legal justification. Moreover, the activist’s family has not received any official information about the location of her detention or the reasons behind the accusations made against her.

The CFJ strongly condemns this arbitrary arrest and enforced disappearance of activist “Jad El-Rab,” and demands the immediate clarification of her fate, disclosure of the place and conditions of her detention, as well as her unconditional and immediate release.
