The Committee for Justice (CFJ) has monitored that Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces (RSF) arrested journalist Tareq Abdullah at the end of May, taking him to an undisclosed location.

The RSF forces stormed Abdullah’s home in the Al-Haj Youssef area of Khartoum Bahri and arrested him, leaving uncertainty about his whereabouts.

CFJ condemns the arbitrary detention of Sudanese journalist Tareq Abdullah and holds the RSF responsible for his safety. CFJ demands that his whereabouts be disclosed and calls for his immediate and unconditional release, as well as an end to the targeting of journalists for their professional work
