The Committee for Justice (CFJ) has monitored that forces belonging to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) carried out extrajudicial killings of a journalist and three others in Al-Darushab South neighborhood, north of Khartoum Bahri.

According to sources, on Wednesday, June 5, RSF militias stormed a house in Al-Darushab South, where journalist Moawiya Abdulrazek and three others—Tariq Yaqoub, Murtada Captain, and Ali Al-Turki—were present, and assassinated them.

Previously, RSF militias had detained Moawiya in December of the previous year for three days, accusing him of collaborating with Sudanese military intelligence.

CFJ condemns these extrajudicial killings and calls for a comprehensive investigation to hold the perpetrators accountable and prevent their impunity.

CFJ also urges both parties in the Sudanese conflict to stop targeting journalists and to respect press freedom.
