Sudan: The CFJ condemns the arrest of activist Bahaa El-Din Suleiman in Khartoum and demands his release

Security forces in Khartoum arrested activist Bahaa El-Din Suleiman, a member of the Third-Degree Extension Resistance Committees, on June 20, 2025, under mysterious and inhumane circumstances, where he was not allowed family or legal visits.

Bahaa El-Din Suleiman is known for his contributions to providing support to those in need during times of conflict and had been working as a volunteer at Al-Tamayoz Hospital. His arrest has raised widespread concern among the local community, as the Third-Degree Extension Resistance Committees consider this arrest part of a systematic repression policy targeting activists.

The Committee for Justice (CFJ) expresses concern over this arbitrary arrest, holding the responsible authorities fully accountable for Suleiman and demanding his immediate release and guarantees for his safety.
