The Committee for Justice (CFJ) has documented the arrest of three civilians from West Kordofan State by elements affiliated with the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) Intelligence on Monday, 22 June 2026, before transferring them to Dagris Prison in the city of Nyala, South Darfur State.
According to information documented by CFJ, the detainees are Engineer Abdel Nasser Ali Omar, Director of the Belila Oil Field; Engineer Nour Al‑Daim Hanno, Community Development Officer at the Belila Oil Field; and Nasr Al‑Din Ali Issa, an employee at Al‑Salam University.
Available information indicates that the arrests were carried out on allegations of cooperation with the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and affiliation with the dissolved National Congress Party, after which the three men were transferred to Dagris Prison without any available information regarding their legal status or access to communication with their families or lawyers.
The Committee for Justice is closely monitoring the continuing pattern of arbitrary arrests and the transfer of civilians to detention facilities in Nyala, particularly Dagris Prison, amid growing concerns over the conditions of detainees held there.
CFJ calls for the disclosure of the detainees’ fate and legal status, and for ensuring that they are afforded all their legal and humanitarian rights, including access to their families, lawyers, and any necessary protections guaranteed under international human rights standards.
