The “Committee for Justice” (CFJ) has documented the killing of a journalist and media figure by forces affiliated with the “Rapid Support Forces” militia in the Al-Kalakla area, south of Khartoum State, Sudan.
CFJ has reported that on February 13, RSF assaulted Sudanese journalist Hashem Osman Al-Hassan, resulting in his death as part of a series of violations targeting journalists and media professionals in the country.
CFJ condemns this incident, classifying it as an “extrajudicial killing” that requires an investigation into its circumstances, identification of those responsible, and ensuring they are held accountable without impunity.
