The charge sheet also claimed that he reported that Christians were imprisoned for joining the \u00ab\u00a0Sinai Province\u00a0\u00bb Group.\u00a0<\/span>The charge list further elaborates that Yahya claims that verdicts against the Brotherhood’s leaders and members were baseless. He also downplays the group’s acts of terror. This suggests to the public that the Egyptian state institutions do not respect the rule of law and violate human rights, which undermines the state’s prestige and public peace.
